Governor Has THESE Five Doubts About The TSRTC Bill

Hyderabad, Aug 5 (Maxim News): Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan asked the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao government for clarification on five points on the TSRTC Bill.  Expressing some doubts about the Bill,  Governor Tamilisai has written to Chief Secretary Shanthi Kumari to clarify them.

The government has decided to introduce the Bill in the Assembly itself.  As the Governor did not get permission, it stopped for a while, there were accusations that the Governor was stopping the Bill.  TSRTC labor Unions are raising concerns over this, Raj Bhavan issued a statement.

MATTERS SOUGHT CLARIFICATION BY THE GOVERNOR

The Bill does not contain any details about Central grants, shares, loans, and other assistance in TSRTC since 1958.

The Bill does not contain comprehensive details on changing the status of TSRTC under Schedule IX of the State Bifurcation Act.

The Governor questioned whether the government, which says that the TSRTC employees will be treated equally with the government employees,  will the Industrial Disputes Act and Labour laws apply to their problems and how will their benefits be protected.

The governor asked the government to give clear details regarding whether all TSRTC employees will get pensions at par with Government employees in the Merger draft bill and give them all benefits at par with government employees.

The Governor requested the government to give clear details so that the TSRTC employees can get justice and other benefits in matters like their promotions and their cadre normalization as there are no posts like conductor, controller, etc. among the government employees.  (Maxim News)
