Congress protests against BJP for depicting Rahul Gandhi as Ravana

Hyderabad, October 9: Led by Hyderabad DCC President Sameer Waliullah, Congress workers held a massive protest against the BJP for depicting former party chief Rahul Gandhi as “new age Ravan.” They also burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a protest in Chandrayangutta on Sunday.

Chandrayangutta Block President Shakeel Dayani, TPCC Minorities Dep Vice President Kaleem Baba, Charminar Incharge Mujeebullah Shareef, Youth leaders Keerthi Vinay, Aslam Shareef, Danish Yousuf, other Division, Block presidents and senior leaders participated in the protest.

Speaking to the media, Sameer Waliullah said that the BJP’s hateful behaviour was highly condemnable. He accused the BJP of being unable to digest the fact that Rahul Gandhi has emerged as the most popular leader in the country. He further said that people have realized that PM Modi’s popularity is declining due to his non-performance, arrogance, and hateful behaviour. Therefore, in order to tarnish Rahul Gandhi’s image, the BJP has posted a highly objectionable graphic image of Rahul Gandhi in which he is shown as Ravan.

Sameer Waliullah alleged that the BJP is worried over the reports of a swing in favor of Congress in the coming Assembly elections in five states Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Mizoram. Therefore, BJP leaders are trying hard to get public attention. As part of the same conspiracy, they have shared a poster on Rahul Gandhi which violates all norms of morality and soberness. He also accused the BJP of trying to incite violence against Rahul Gandhi by sharing controversial and baseless posts against him.

He said that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has rightly pointed out PM Modi as the “biggest liar” and the “jumla boy.” He said that PM Modi and other BJP leaders are frustrated as people are not responding to their lies and jumlas due to Rahul Gandhi who has been exposing their failures. He said that the BJP has nothing to say about their performance, achievements, schemes, or policies because they have failed. Therefore, to divert people’s attention from those failures, BJP leaders are resorting to personal attacks on Rahul Gandhi.

Sameer Waliullah also warned the BRS and MIM leaders against making personal comments against Rahul Gandhi, TPCC President A. Revanth Reddy, or other Congress leaders. He said that the Congress cadre would give a fitting reply to any such baseless criticism. He said that if MIM and BRS leaders have courage, they should come for an open debate on the development issues. However, if they resort to cheap talk, the Congress leaders would give them a strong reply in their own style, he said. (Maxim News)
