DGP Working On The Appointment Of New CPs And SPs

Hyderabad, Oct 12 (maxim News): Keeping in view that the Central Election Commission has flogged 20 IAS, IPS officers, and on cadre SPS on the allegations of negligence and partiality in the conduct of State Assembly election duties. Three Police Commissionerate including Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, four district collectors, 10 district SPS, one department secretary, another department director, and another department commissioner have been transferred.

Of these, 18 IAS, IPS officers, and non-cadre SPS have been restricted from being entrusted with any responsibility related to the Legislative Assembly elections. It has been made clear that the transferred officers should immediately step down from their duties and hand over the duties to their successors, it has been clarified to the state government that new Chief Secretaries for these three departments should be appointed in place of the 20 transferred officers by 5 pm today.

In this connection, DGP Anjani Kumar started the exercise on the appointment of new CPs and SPs, DGP is preparing the list to be sent to CEC, in the Hyderabad CP race, the names of Mahesh Bhagwat, Shika Goyal, Shivdhar Reddy, Kothakota Srinivas Reddy, Nagireddy and Sajjanar are under consideration.  The government will send a list of three names to the CEC.  The government will send a list of three names for each post.  One of those three will be selected by the EC for the respective posts.

If there are any objections to the names of the three names sent by the state government, the EC is likely to reject them.  The EC will again ask the state government to propose new names.  The state government has to issue orders on the respective appointments after the EC finalizes it.  (Maxim News)
