Good news for Hyderabad’s old city! Metro rail is finally coming!

Hyderabad’s Old City | Hyderabad, March 5: (Maxim News) : The Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will be laying the foundation stone for construction of a new metro line in the old city of Hyderabad on March 8th.

This train line will be 5.5 kilometers long and go from MGBS to Falaknuma. It will cost about Rs. 2,000 crore to build.

Once finished, people will be able to easily travel from the old city to other areas like Secunderabad and the bus stations. The government wants to build it quickly.

Hyderabad already has a big metro network that is 69.2 kilometers long. There are lines from LB Nagar to Miyapur, Nagolu to Rayadurgam, and the bus stations. The first part of this network cost about Rs. 16,000 crore and was built by L&T Metrorail Company.

Hyderabad’s Old City

There were plans before to build a metro line in the old city, but some people didn’t want it, so it didn’t happen.

The new Chief Minister wants to build more metro lines and improve the Musi River. He listened to the plans of the Hyderabad Metro Rail officials and decided to finally build the metro line in the old city.

The new line will go through many areas, including Darushifa, Purani Haveli, and Charminar. It will have four stations: Salarjung Museum, Charminar, Salibanda, and Falaknuma. These stations will be close to important historical buildings.

To build the line, they will need to take down about 1,100 buildings and widen the roads. The Chief Minister Revanth Reddy wants to make sure that they don’t damage any temples or historical buildings while they are building.

It is not yet clear who will build the line, but the government might give some money upfront to help get started. They also plan to extend the line even further in the future.

The CM Revanth Reddy also wants to build more metro lines in the future, including one that goes to the airport. This new network will make it easier for people to get around the city. (Maxim News)
