Rs.13,75,15,540/- Cash Seized In Hyderabad District So Far: Ronald Rose

Hyderabad, April 15 (Maxim News): District Election Officer, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose informed that so far since the election schedule announced for the Parliament elections Rs.13,75,15,540/-cash and other goods worth Rs.1,93,03,255 and 20,129.25 liters of illegal liquor in the Hyderabad district by various enforcement teams.

Cases have been registered against 171 people and 163 have been arrested, he said. 348 complaints regarding election-related cash and other items were resolved, FIRs were registered against 227 persons, and 2711 licensed weapons were deposited.

During the 24 hours from 6 am on Sunday to 6 am on Monday, Rs. 2,87,080/- cash and goods worth Rs. 4,08,040/- were seized. It is stated that 38.87 liters of illegal liquor have been seized by the Excise Department, cases have been registered against 4 persons and two have been arrested. He said that when 8 complaints were received regarding cash and other items, they were resolved and an FIR was registered against 6 people. He said that 25 licensed weapons have been deposited.

Since the release of the election schedule till now, Rs. 2,95,52,720/ and Rs.10,63,83,130/- by the Police, and IT Department,

He said that Rs.15,79,690/- cash was seized by SST teams. (Maxim News)
