Conserve Rain Water For Future Generations: GHMC Initiated To Improve Ground Level
Hyderabad, April 22 (Maxim News): To carefully conserve the water which is the source of life, to conserve rainwater, to collect every drop of rainwater to use it for our present needs as well as for the needs of future generations and to build up the groundwater without wasting any rainwater, to conserve rainwater and to install proper cisterns in every house, the importance of rainwater. By creating awareness among the people and storing the rainwater falling on the roof of the house without wasting it, steps have been taken within the GHMC to increase the groundwater level.

As part of that, under the direction of GHMC Commissioner Ronald Ross, plumbing workers and masons were trained on Monday at Panwar Hall, GHMC headquarters, on preventing water problems in the city, appropriate solutions, rainwater conservation, and precautions to be taken to increase groundwater levels. He talked about the innovative processes available to store rainwater.
On this occasion, EPTRI Consultant Retired IAS Officer Vijay Kumar, and Rainwater Harvesting Project CEO Kalpana Ramesh imparted awareness on water harvesting, usage, treatment and reuse of used water, prevention of pollution, recharge pits, water infiltration systems, water treatment systems, etc.. How to conserve rainwater on the roof of the house is explained through videos made on it.

On the 24th and 25th of this month, the training of plumbing experts on rainwater conservation is also being conducted, and those interested should register their names in the Google form https://forms.gle/rJnheoVKSEU4VDnJA. Additional Commissioner Chandrakant Reddy asked them to encourage them to get training.
Certificates were given to the plumber workers and masons after the training.
