Hyderabad: A 21-year-old woman and her father were killed in a road accident on Katedan Road in Mailardevpally on Wednesday night, days before the woman’s scheduled wedding.
The victims were identified as Bushra Begum, 21, and her father Ismail, 48, residents of Attapur.
According to police, the father and daughter were travelling on a motorcycle when the accident occurred. An eyewitness, Sohel, said a container vehicle travelling at high speed hit their motorcycle and ran over the victims.
Father-Daughter Duo Dies on the Spot
Bushra and Ismail died at the scene following the accident. The incident left their family devastated, as Bushra’s wedding was reportedly scheduled for early next month.
After receiving information, Mailardevpally police reached the accident spot and shifted the bodies to Osmania General Hospital for postmortem examination.
Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. Further details are awaited.
