Indian Student From Telangana Missing In Chicago For A Week

Hyderabad, May 9 (Maxim News): An Indian student has been reported missing in Chicago since May 2. The Consulate General of India in Chicago said it was in touch with the police and Indian diaspora to locate/reestablish contact with Rupesh Chandra Chintakindi.

Rupesh Chandra Chintakind’s father Ch Sadanandam, a resident of Hanamkonda district, said he spoke to his son on whatsapp on May 2 afternoon. “He replied he was doing some work. Later on I could not contact him and he is offline,” he said. The family spoke to his roommates. They reportedly told him that he was going to meet someone from Texas who had come to meet him.

The Chicago police, in a statement, have urged people to provide information to the police if they locate Rupesh Chintakindi. According to the statement, he was missing from the 4300 block of N Sheridan Road.

In a letter to Union Minister Kishan Reddy, Sadanandam urged help to trace his son. The office of Kishan Reddy, minister for culture, tourism and development of north eastern region, Govt of India in a letter to the Ministry External Affairs on May 8 urged CGI Chicago to help trace the missing Rupesh.
