Assurance of Safety and Support
Jaishankar informed political party leaders in Parliament House that India has communicated with the Bangladesh Army Chief to ensure the safety of over 10,000 Indian students in Bangladesh.

Addressing Concerns and Speculations
In response to questions from various leaders, including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Jaishankar did not rule out the possibility of foreign governments being involved in the unrest in Bangladesh. During the meeting, Jaishankar highlighted that households and properties belonging to minorities were targeted by protestors in Bangladesh.

Jaishankar noted that it has been less than 24 hours since Hasina arrived in India, and she is currently in a state of shock. The government allows her time to recover before discussing various issues, including her plans.
