High Court Refuses To Stay Demolition Of Janwada Farmhouse

Hyderabad, Aug 21 (Maxim News): A hearing was held in the Telangana High Court on the petition filed by Pradeep Reddy demanding the demolition of Janwada Farmhouse. The High Court refused to grant a stay on the demolition of the farmhouse. Ordered it to proceed as per the rules.

The bench suggested that the scope of HYDRA should be mentioned during arguments. The High Court opined that there is a need to focus on the demolition of HYDRA. How many buildings have been demolished by HYDRA so far and were the regulations followed in each demolition? The High Court directed the AAG to give full details in this regard. FTL range of ponds determined?

Encroachments Increasing Day By Day In Hyderabad: HYDRA

AAG brought to the court’s notice that Hyderabad is developing day by day and encroachments are increasing. HYDRA has been set up to protect government lands, parks, and ponds that are under encroachment. He said that HYDRA works in coordination with local organizations. He said that illegal structures are being demolished only after giving notices by local bodies. This petition is not meritorious and it is sought to be dismissed.

The petitioner’s lawyer told the court that a farmhouse was set up in Janwada in 2014 and Pradeep bought the farmhouse in 2019.  Why do you want to demolish the farmhouse now after ten years?  Do the authorities not remember FTL all these years?  The High Court asked on this occasion.  It has been suggested that the details should be given if the FTL of the ponds across the state is notified.  The AAg said that they have been notified in advance and are in the process of preparing the final report.  The High Court also ordered to submit the details related to Janwada Farmhouse FTL  (Maxim News)
