Pochampally: Hash Oil Worth Rs. 1.52 Cr. seized by police

Pochampally/Hyderabad, Aug 28 (Maxim News): Bhoodan Pochampally police of Yadadri Bhuvangiri district have arrested two suspects who were illegally transporting hash oil (cannabis in liquid form) from Andhra Pradesh’s Alluri Sitaramaraju district to Hyderabad.

10 hash oil cans and two cell phones worth Rs. 1.52 crore were seized from them.

The details are as given by SI Kancharla Bhaskar Reddy. Bhuvanagiri SWOT, Bhudan Pochampally police conducted inspections on Tuesday after receiving information that ganja was being transported by bus from AP state.

The police checked the two who left for Hyderabad by RTC bus and got down at Bhudan Pochampally Cross Road, 10 cans of hash oil were in their possession, and questioned. They have been identified as Gammeti Govinda Rao (36) and Korra Rambabu (30) of Korumamidi village, Hukumpet Mandal, Alluri Sitaramaraju district, Andhra Pradesh.

The accused admitted during the investigation that they used to collect hash oil from people they knew in their area and sell it to needy consumers in nearby towns.

Pochampally

They bought about 10.02 kg of hash oil (10 cans) from Chanti and Lakshmina Naidu of that area and left on an RTC bus to sell it in Hyderabad.

When he got off the bus at Kothagudem and reached Bhudan Pochampally, the police arrested him. SI Bhaskar Reddy said that the value of the hash oil recovered from the accused is Rs. 1.52 crores and that they are conducting a search for the rest of the accused. (Maxim News)
