Congress Which Should Have Won In Haryana Lost Because Of Infighting

Delhi/Hyderabad, Oct 8 (Maxim News): Assembly results are coming in Haryana state differently from exit polls. All political analysts expected the Congress to come back to power. But, people’s verdict is different. Although the Congress was leading in 60 seats of the total 89 Assembly Constituencies in the first round, the expectations were reversed when the four rounds of vote counting were over.

On the day of counting at 4 O’clock in the evening, the BJP is leading in 49 seats and the Congress in 35 constituencies. Opposition to the ruling party in Haryana pushed the BJP, these are the five reasons why the Congress did not get the desired results.

Congress won 31 seats in Haryana in 2019 elections.  At present, Congress continues to rule in only 36 seats out of 89 Assembly constituencies.  Public opinion is different from exit polls.  Exceptionally, the BJP is leading candidates in 48 constituencies in Haryana. Political analysts say that the reason for these results is the infighting within the Congress party in the state.  The main factor is the power struggle of the top leaders.  Even before the elections, the Congress leaders started discussions for the post of Chief Minister, saying that the victory was confirmed.  The fight between veteran Bhupinder Singh Hooda and senior leader Kumari Selja is well known.  Bhupinder Singh Hooda was given freedom by the High Command to decide on candidates or alliances, but this did not work.  (Maxim News)
