ED Gave A Big Shock To KCR: Registered Case Against GST Scam
Hyderabad, Oct 11 (Maxim News): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) gave a shock to BRS President and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. The ED has registered a case against the GST scam that took place during the previous BRS government’s regime.

The ED found that there were irregularities in the GST payments to the tune of Rs. 46 crores. Police have already registered a case in Hyderabad CCS.
Hyderabad Police has registered a criminal case against former Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar for alleged irregularities in payment of input tax credit in Goods and Services Tax (GST) transactions. The scam worth over Rs. 1,000 crores was alleged to have taken place four years ago when Somesh Kumar was Special Chief Secretary, Revenue (Commercial Taxes) in the BRS government. After being promoted to Chief Secretary, he remained in charge of all revenue-generating departments.

Somesh Kumar, three other persons and a company acting in favor of the GST payers and defrauding were defrauding the state exchequer. The Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes K.Ravi Kumar filed a complaint with the police detective department, alleging a loss of over Rs. 1,000 crore. Acting on this complaint, the police registered a case against the Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Deputy Commissioner SV Kashi Visveswara Rao, and A.Shiva Rama Prasad. (Maxim News)
