As a dynamic chapter of the FICCI Ladies Organisation, FLO Hyderabad has consistently facilitated cross-border partnerships and knowledge exchanges that contribute to both local and global economic landscapes. Recent months have seen an extraordinary flow of international delegations, underscoring FLO Hyderabad’s dedication to driving economic growth through women-led enterprises. These engagements demonstrate FLO Hyderabad’s vision of connecting Indian women entrepreneurs with influential business ecosystems worldwide, promoting a blend of innovation, sustainability, and shared expertise.

A highlight of these global exchanges was the visit of a thirty-member German business delegation yesterday led by Ms. Daniela Schmitt, Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture, and Viniculture of Rhineland-Palatinate. Accompanied by Mr. Hendrik Hering, President of the State Parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate, and Ms. Michaela Kuchler, Consul General at the Consulate of Germany in Chennai. The 30-member delegation visited FLO Industrial Park at Sultanpur, on a mission to explore the potential of collaborative business ventures, and knowledge sharing and witness firsthand India’s first 100% women-owned industrial park.

The German delegation was welcomed by FLO Hyderabad’s Chairperson, Priya Gazdar, along with Past Chairpersons, and team members behind the creation of FLO Industrial Park, Jyotsna Angara and Ajita Reddy, and other FLO members. Ms. Priya Gazdar provided an overview of FLO Hyderabad’s continuous efforts in fostering women’s empowerment across industries that transcend gender barriers, creating a space for women-led sustainable growth.  

The FLO Industrial Park, established in partnership with TSIIC / TGIIC, features 25 enterprises from diverse sectors with a cumulative initial capital investment of over Rs. 250 crores and generating an annual turnover exceeding INR 1,100 crores, spread across 50 acres of land in Sultanpur, Hyderabad.

Jyotsna Angara emphasized the synergy between the shared values of India and Germany in her remarks, noting that FLO Hyderabad is eager to explore extended collaborations with Germany, particularly in areas like training, lean manufacturing, and advanced technology sharing. “FLO’s has had a long-standing association with Germany, especially with the Hans Seidel Foundation. This gives us a strong foundation to collaborate on emerging projects, especially as FLO is desirous to establish Centres of Excellence and we do believe that we will benefit from Germany’s expertise in cutting-edge industrial practices,” she said.

FLO Hyderabad also recently hosted a delegation of women business leaders from the ASEAN countries. The ASEAN leaders toured the FLO Industrial Park and participated in industry-specific discussions on emerging sectors like AI, Fintech, Pharmaceuticals, Handlooms, Coffee, and Web 3.0, Hospitality, Food, Jewellery, showcasing FLO’s dynamic, cross-sectoral approach to business development.

Such visits by Global Leaders reiterate FLO’s commitment to support the advancement of women’s enterprises and our continued efforts towards international dialogue on bilateral economic relations and business growth of women.

Further underscoring FLO’s role as a global business connector, five FLO Hyderabad members recently met with a delegation from the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) to discuss opportunities for collaboration in logistics, export, and specialized warehousing. This strategic engagement marked yet another milestone in FLO Hyderabad’s mission to establish mutually beneficial partnerships with overseas markets and foster a platform for innovation and growth.
