HYDRA is a sensational decision taken by the Congress Govt. to demolish illegal structures in Telangana. It has been more than three and a half months since it was set up. HYDRA demolished most of the illegal structures within the FTL and buffer zone. In the history of the state, over 300 illegal structures have been razed by HYDRA in a span of three and half months. On July 19, HYDRA was set up by the government to protect government properties and ponds, and the government brought G.O. 99. With this, HYDRA started demolition on July 26. So far, more than 300 encroachments have been demolished in more than 30 areas. 120 acres were handed over to the government in 100 days. In addition to GHMC, 27 municipalities, and 33 villages are not subject to HYDRA aggression. With the demolition of actor Nagarjuna’s convention, the name HYDRA was heard throughout the country.
However, people are upset about the demolition of HYDRA. They are in fear of when someone’s house will be demolished. There was also strong opposition to the demolition of HYDRA in many places. While many approached the courts, the court also questioned the legality of HYDRA. Many people filed petitions in the High Court to stay G.O. 99. In this order, the government has designed a special ordinance to remove the obstacles facing HYDRA. Governor Jishnudev Verma gave his seal of approval to this ordinance. (Maxim News)
