Hyderabad, August 24: Former India football captain Shabbir Ali was honoured with the Well Care India Social Welfare Foundation National Excellence Award on Sunday.
The award recognised his contribution to Telangana football and Indian football.
Shabbir Ali thanked the organisation for recognising his services and reaffirmed his commitment to the sport.
He also thanked Medical Officer Hamed Hussain and the Well Care team for the honour.

Dr Jawad, Chairman of Germanten Hospital, attended the event as the chief guest.
He presented Shabbir Ali with a memento during the programme.
