GHMC Deputy Mayor Srilatha Inspects Tarnaka Junction Works

Hyderabad, Dec 17 (Maxim News):  GHMC Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shobhan Reddy inspected the ongoing development works at Tarnaka junction today.

The Deputy Mayor along with TTUC State President Mothe Shobhan Reddy, GHMC officials, Law and Order authorities, and Hyderabad Traffic Police officials, said that the Tarnaka Junction, which has been closed for the past eight years, is set to reopen for vehicular movement by January 2025, GHMC has undertaken the removal of existing dividers and other modifications.

The junction was initially closed to facilitate U-turn facilities at Railway Degree College and IICT for smooth vehicle movement.  However, considering the inconvenience caused to the public due to the distant U-turns, the traffic police and GHMC officials have decided to reopen the junction.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Mayor said, “We are reopening the Tarnaka junction following numerous complaints from the public.  This will provide significant convenience to commuters. 

During the inspection, it was observed that roadworks are currently in progress, and the Deputy Mayor assured that these works will be completed by December 2024.  She reiterated GHMC’s commitment to providing improved transportation facilities to the public. (Maxim News)
