Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, renowned for his versatile roles in Hindi and South Indian cinema, was brutally attacked at his residence in Bandra on Thursday. He was reportedly stabbed multiple times by an intruder, prompting an immediate response from medical teams. Khan was rushed to a nearby hospital where he underwent a series of surgeries to treat his injuries.

In a statement released by the hospital, doctors confirmed that Khan underwent successful surgeries. He first had neuro-surgery to remove a sharp object from his body, followed by a cosmetic procedure to treat his other injuries. Khan was then moved to the ICU for monitoring but is reportedly in stable condition.

Disruption to his Ongoing Project

The incident is expected to have a significant impact on Khan’s current and upcoming film projects. At the time of the attack, the actor was in the middle of filming Jewel Thief: The Red Sun Chapter, a project directed by Siddharth Anand. Anand, who is closely involved in the production, reportedly visited Khan at the hospital after hearing about the attack.

Given Khan’s ongoing injuries, his shooting schedule is likely to be adjusted, with delays expected in several high-profile films lined up for release in the coming months.

His Other Projects

Khan had committed to several major projects. These include Race 4, the fourth installment of the popular Race franchise. Khan had originally appeared in the first two films, however, he was brought back for Race 4, though shooting had not yet begun. The incident is expected to delay the project’s timeline.
Khan’s other upcoming films include Spirit, in which he stars alongside Telugu superstar Prabhas and Devara: Part 2, which features Jr NTR. These films are highly anticipated, and it remains to be seen how the production schedules will be impacted by Khan’s recovery. Additionally, Khan is also set to appear in Click Shankar, a film directed by Tamil filmmaker Balaji Mohan, as well as an untitled project with the legendary director Priyadarshan. Another film on his slate is Shootout at Byculla, helmed by Sanjay Gupta.
