Sangareddy/Hyderabad, Jan 26 (Maxim News): Former MLC and Journalist R. Satyanarayana (58), who played a key role in the second phase of the Telangana movement, passed away at his home in Sangareddy on Sunday. He was battling a prolonged illness.

Satyanarayana, a close confidante of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, had also worked as a Telangana Public Service Commission member. Satyanarayana had quit journalism to participate in the Telangana movement. He had worked as BRS president of the erstwhile Medak district and led the movement from the front in Sangareddy.
Former Minister T. Harish Rao expressed shock over the demise of Satyanarayana. He sent condolence messages to the family members of the former MLC Rao and said that Satyanarayana would forever be remembered for his role in the Telangana movement. Harish Rao, a host of BRS leaders, and other party leaders are expected to attend the funeral. (Maxim News)
