Govt School HM In ACB Net, Third Raid Within A Fortnight In Kothagudem
Kothagudem/Hyderabad, Feb 28 (Maxim News): The headmaster of Government High School, Coolie Line in Kothagudem town was caught red-handed by ACB officials on Friday.
According to Khammam Range ACB DSP Y Ramesh, the Central government has introduced a scheme to impart karate training for the self-defense of students. Training classes would be conducted for 72 days. For the training, the government would provide Rs. 30,000 to the karate instructor to conduct 72 classes for three months. The headmaster, T. Ravinder, demanded Rs. 20,000 as a bribe from the instructor to give the latter his wage.
The instructor, who did not want to pay the bribe, approached the ACB officials, who laid a trap and caught the headmaster while he was taking a bribe of Rs. 20,000 from the instructor at the school.
The tainted money was seized, and the accused would be arrested and produced before the special court for SPE and ACB cases in Warangal, said DSP Ramesh. This was the third ACB raid within a fortnight and the fifth one this year in the district. (Maxim News)
