Senior Journalist B Shantaram Dies At 64

Hyderabad, Mar 26 (Maxim News) : Senior Journalist B.Shantaram passed away here on Wednesday. He was 64 and is survived by his wife and a daughter.

Shantaram was suffering from ill-health for sometime and was admitted to a hospital in Kukatpally where he breathed his last.

Known for his extremely soft nature, Shantaram left an indelible mark in Telugu journalism. He started his career in Eenadu in 1983 where he worked in various capacities.

Later he worked in other Telugu dailies, weeklies and in web editions and irrespective of the organisation or the medium, he was known for his command over Telugu and for his capability to give excellent and memorable headlines.

Shantaram was also a writer of short stories and wrote in several Telugu weeklies. His funeral was held on Wednesday evening in Kukatpally. (Maxim News)
