Telangana to Get Relief from Scorching Heat as Temperatures To Drop

Hyderabad: After weeks of extreme heat, people in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana can finally expect some relief as temperatures are set to drop, along with chances of rain this week.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad, temperatures in most districts of Telangana will fall below 36°C from Wednesday and stay cooler until Saturday.

Tuesday will remain hot and dry, but from Wednesday onwards, temperatures are expected to drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.

Weather Alerts for the Week

IMD-Hyderabad has issued a yellow alert for Wednesday, warning of thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) in districts like Nizamabad, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Jagtial, and Rajanna Sircilla.

On Thursday, a higher-intensity orange alert has been issued for Vikarabad, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal, predicting thunderstorms, lightning, strong winds (40-50 kmph), and even hailstorms.

A yellow alert is also in place for Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nalgonda, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, and Nagarkurnool on the same day, expecting thunderstorms and strong winds.

The stormy weather is likely to continue on Friday and Saturday, with more yellow and orange alerts issued for thunderstorms, hailstorms, and gusty winds.
