BJP Ranks Fire Over Destruction Of Shiva Statue

Hyderabad, April 24 (Maxim News): BJP leaders who were going to the area where the idol of Lord Shiva was destroyed in Jinnaram were detained by the police on Wednesday.

When MLC Anji Reddy, BJP district president Godavari and other leaders were leaving for Jinnaram, the police stopped them at Sultanpur ORR in Aminpur limits. With this, they all sat on the ORR and condemned the police’s behavior.

Later MLC Anji Reddy, Godavari and others were taken to their house in Ramachandrapuram and placed under house arrest.

On this occasion, Anji Reddy and Godavari organized a press meet and spoke. They alleged that the police did not take any action when people belonging to a group destroyed idols in the Shiva temple in Jinnaram.

They said that they have the right to know what happened there and it is not right for the police to stop them from going peacefully. They demanded that the government take strict action against those who are taking action to hurt the sentiments of Hindus.
