Hyderabad, August 16: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched Cheyutha pensions during his visit to Medaram on Sunday.
He handed over pension documents to new beneficiaries in the presence of Sammakka and Saralamma.
The Chief Minister also visited the Sammakka Saralamma shrine and offered prayers. He presented a gold bar to the deities.
Later, Revanth Reddy inspected development works in Medaram. He also unveiled a Panchayat Raj Department pylon near Gattamma temple.
Revanth Reddy Announces Development Works In Mulugu
The Chief Minister later visited Mulugu and Parakala. Development works worth Rs 443.42 crore were inaugurated in Parakala.
In Mulugu, development works worth Rs 868 crore were inaugurated. Revanth Reddy also opened the new Collectorate building.
He unveiled a statue of Telangana Thalli at the Collectorate premises. The government is developing a building complex on 16 acres at a cost of Rs 63 crore.
Revanth Reddy said his government had focused on developing Medaram. He said Medaram was being developed on the lines of Ramappa Temple.
He also announced funds for Mallur Narasimhaswamy Temple and development of Jampanna Vagu.
The Chief Minister said education alone was not enough to secure jobs. He urged students to develop skills after Intermediate.
He said students would be taught German, Japanese and Korean languages to improve their employment opportunities abroad.
Revanth Reddy also criticised the previous BRS government over its alleged neglect of Medaram. He recalled his earlier padayatra from Mulugu as TPCC president.
