Some satellite photos posted by Indian Army Military Intelligence Colonel Vinayak Bhat show that the water flow has reduced significantly near the marala Headworks in Sialkot area near the border. The water flow in the distributary canal leading from the main canal has reduced significantly. One of the rivers in this canal appears to have completely dried up. it seems that this water flow is likely to decrease further in the next five days.
The Indus River originates in Tibet in China and flows through India and Pakistan before emptying into the Arabian Sea. After the partition of the country, an agreement was signed between the two countries. The water of the Indus River is used and shared by both countries. 80 percent of this water is important for the agriculture of Pakistani lands. Many people in Pakistan do not have water.
