Two UK-Retruned Men Arrested For Drug Smuggling

Hyderabad, May 22 (Maxim News): Two persons who had done their studies in the United Kingdom and were allegedly involved in the smuggling of drugs were arrested by the Prohibition and Excise Department.

The arrested – Varun and Prabhu Chaitanya, along with their associate Kiran, were bringing MDMA and OG Kush from a Nigerian national in Bengaluru and selling it to local people in the city.

According to the police, Varun and Prabhu pursued higher education in the UK and befriended some people from bengaluru and other parts of the country. After returning to India, they visited bengaluru and got introduced to a Nigerian national who lured them into the narcotics trade and supplied them with drugs.

In association with Kiran, the suspects established a network in the city and were supplying drugs to local customers.

On a tip-off, the enforcement team of the Prohibition and Excise Department caught Varun, Prabhu, and Kiran and seized 2.58 grams of MDMA, 38.56 grams of OG Kush ganja, a bike, and three mobile phones from them.

Three of the associates of Varun are absconding, and efforts are on to nab them. said the officials.  (Maxim News)
