Six Persons Including Five Women Struck Dead By Lighting In Adilabad
Adilabad/Hyderabad, June 12 (Maxim News): In three different incidents, five women and a man were struck dead by lightning in the district on Thursday.
In the first instance, Sidam Rambabai, Pendor Madhavrao, pendor Sanjana, Mangam Bheembai, all from Pippiri village, were killed when lightning struck them while they were engaged in farm operations.
Meanwhile, Gedam Nandini was killed after being struck by lightning at Sangidi village in Bela mandal. Similarly, Kova Sunitha too was struck dead by lightning at Sonkas village in Bela mandal. The two were farm labourers.
Several parts of the district registered heavy rains, inundating low-lying areas and affecting normal life.
On June 10 evening, a 50 year old woman Kalimi Nagamma from Nipani village was struck dead by lightning when she was waiting for a bus under a tree at a bus shelter at Laxmipur village in Bheempur mandal. (Maxim News)
