The villages have been officially adopted by the Governor, and the funds are being allocated to enhance infrastructure, health, employment, and skill development in these remote tribal settlements.

During a virtual review meeting held from Raj Bhavan, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Dana Kishore, directed officials to ensure that the sanctioned funds are judiciously utilized for meaningful tribal development. He emphasized that the focus should be on empowering tribal farmers and unemployed youth by creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and improving public infrastructure.

Key Projects Underway:

According to ITDA Project Officer B. Rahul, the development efforts are already in motion. Two units of tent house equipment worth ₹10 lakh have been provided to local unemployed youth. Within the next 15 days, the following additional resources will be delivered:

  • Two power tillers and 20 solar-powered pump sets for tribal farmers
  • A 5 KV generator for the Gubbala Mangamma temple
  • Nine bamboo artifact machines, one agarbatti-making machine, and one sambrani cup-making machine to aid local self-employment

Additionally, training programs have been initiated for Konda Reddi women in beekeeping, bamboo crafts, and the production of incense burners. Plans are in place to establish dedicated manufacturing units to scale up local production and provide regular income for tribal households.
