Godavari Water | Bhadrachalam/Hyderabad, July 9 (Maxim News): Due to the rains across the state and floods from the upper reaches, the water level of the Godavari is rising at Bhadrachalam. The water level of the Godavari is flowing at 24 feet at 11 am today.

Officials said that the water level is likely to rise further due to the floods coming from the upper reaches. Flood water has reached the steps at the bathing ghats.

Officials have put up warning boards to advise devotees to bathe on the river banks instead of going deep. Four swimmers as well as launches and boats, have been kept ready at the Godavari river for use in emergency situations. (Maxim News)
