Saroja Devi | Bangalore / Hyderabad , July 14: Legendary actress B. Saroja Devi, known for her iconic roles across Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada cinema, passed away on Monday morning at her residence in Bengaluru. She was 86.
Born in Karnataka in 1938, She began her illustrious film career at the young age of 13. Over the decades, she acted in more than 200 films, earning admiration and a loyal fanbase across South India. She shared screen space with legendary actors such as NTR, ANR, and MGR, leaving an indelible mark on Indian cinema.
She made her debut in 1955 with the Kannada film Mahakavi Kalidasa and gained widespread recognition in Telugu cinema with the 1959 hit Pellisandadi. Before that, her performances in Panduranga Mahatyam and Bhukailas had already caught the attention of audiences.
