Hyderabad, 28 August: The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) continued its enforcement drive against unauthorised buildings across the city on Thursday.
CMC teams identified 54 unauthorised constructions across the Serilingampally, Kukatpally and Quthbullapur zones. Officials demolished 21 buildings, served 14 notices and sealed one structure during the drive.
The remaining 33 cases will be taken up for demolition and further action according to the prescribed procedure.
CMC Demolishes Illegal Buildings in Three Zones
Serilingampally recorded the highest number of demolitions, with nine unauthorised structures pulled down. Kukatpally and Quthbullapur recorded six demolitions each.
The enforcement drive focused on unauthorised under-construction buildings that allegedly violated existing building regulations.
CMC Commissioner G Srijana directed town planning and enforcement teams to continue daily field inspections. She also instructed officials to closely monitor unauthorised construction activity and take action against violations.
Officials said the continued inspections are aimed at preventing illegal construction and ensuring compliance with building regulations across the corporation’s jurisdiction.
The CMC is expected to continue the enforcement drive in other areas as part of its ongoing monitoring of unauthorised structures.
