Congress Dalit Leader Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances in Medak

Medak/Hyderabad, July 15 (Maxim News): In a shocking incident that has sent ripples through Telangana’s political circles, Congress SC Cell District Secretary Marrelli Anil (28) was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Variguntham village of Kulcharam mandal in the early hours of Tuesday.

Anil, a prominent Dalit leader and rising face of the Congress party in Medak district, was reportedly returning to his native village Pythara late Monday night after attending a party meeting at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad.

According to police sources, four bullets were recovered near his body, which was discovered by locals early in the morning. However, authorities have not yet confirmed whether Anil died from gunshot wounds. Initial examination revealed visible bleeding injuries on his right shoulder and chest, raising suspicions of foul play.

The Kulcharam police reached the scene and shifted the body to Medak Government Hospital for a postmortem. A forensic team is also expected to assist with the investigation.

The mysterious nature of Anil’s death has sparked outrage and concern within the Congress party. Several local leaders and party members rushed to the Medak hospital upon hearing the news, demanding a thorough and impartial investigation.

Senior Congress functionaries have called for the culprits to be identified and brought to justice swiftly. They also urged the police to treat the case with urgency, given Anil’s role in mobilizing Dalit communities and representing the party at grassroots levels.

An official from the police department stated, “We are treating this as a case of suspicious death. Further clarity will emerge after the postmortem report. Investigations are underway.”
