Hyderabad, July 18 (Maxim News): Heavy rain lashed Hyderabad city, causing flooding on all main roads. Areas affected include Miyapur, Kukatpally, Pragathi Nagar, Moosapet, Ameerpet, Begumpet, Jubilee Hills, Panjagutta, Khairatabad, Nampally, Kothi, Chaderghat, Malakpet, Dilsukhnagar, LB Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Hayathnagar, and Abdullapurmet.
Rainfall was also reported in Secunderabad, Alwal, Tirumalgiri, Bowenpally, Marredpally, Tarnaka, OU Campus, Habsiguda, Uppal, Nacharam, Malapur, Musheerabad, RTC Cross Road, Ashoknagar, Gandhinagar, Kavadiguda, Bholakpur, Chikkadpally, and Himayathnagar. Waterlogging affected Manikonda, Rajendranagar, Attapur, Gandipet, Narsingi, Ibrahimpatnam, and other areas, causing difficulties for motorists due to stagnant rainwater.
Heavy Rain In Many Parts Of Hyderabad
Heavy floodwaters entered the road in Uppal, disrupting vehicular movement, resulting in a huge traffic jam from Uppal Stadium to Habsiguda. Manholes have opened in some places in Yousufguda and Krishnanagar areas. Knee-deep floodwaters are flowing in Nacharam Bhavaninagar.
The Meteorological Department has announced that heavy rain is likely to continue in the GHMC area till night and issued warnings to all residents of Bhagyanagar to stay alert. (Maxim News)
