HCA Irregularities | Hyderabad, July 22: The Telangana CID is ramping up its investigation into alleged HCA irregularities, breaching the inner circle of the Hyderabad Cricket Association.

Summons have gone out to HCA President Jaganmohan Rao, Treasurer C.J. Srinivas Rao, CEO Sunil Kante, Srichakra Cricket Club General Secretary Rajender Yadav, and Club President Kavitha.

Each has faced sustained questioning by officers in what has become a detailed and widening inquiry.

Preliminary findings indicate that Rao’s election to the HCA presidency may have violated procedural norms, agency sources say. The CID is also examining claims that HCA funds were redirected and misappropriated, a trail that could ensnare several other office-bearers.

Judicial custody for the questioned officials expires today, after which they are set to arrive at the Malkajgiri District Court for procedural submissions.

The inquiry is the most significant step yet to impose financial discipline and institutional integrity on Telangana cricket.
