Speaking after the questioning, Prakash Raj said, “I have informed ED officials that I had no financial transactions with the management of Jungle Rummy. I only participated in a one-time promotion deal back in 2016, and that association ended there.”

ED Probes Betting App Promotions Linked to Dubai

The ED is currently investigating a wider network of betting apps operating out of Dubai, where several Indian celebrities are alleged to have been involved in promotional activities. These apps are now under scrutiny for potential money laundering and GST violations.

Prakash Raj was specifically questioned about how much money he may have earned during the promotional campaign. Responding to these allegations, he reportedly submitted documents and clarified that he did not receive any funds through Jungle Rummy’s platform or app.

Actor Urges Public Not to Fall for Betting Traps

During the probe, Prakash Raj also advised the public to stay away from online betting platforms. “Don’t get fooled by betting,” he said, indicating his complete disassociation from the industry. He emphasized that he has not renewed any promotional contracts with betting apps since the initial one ended years ago.

No Ongoing Links, Says Prakash Raj

ED officials are examining five years of financial records of the actor to verify his claims and trace any possible offshore links. However, Prakash Raj maintained that he has not promoted any betting platform since 2016 and confirmed that he will never be involved with such apps in the future.

A Widening Net Around Celebrity Promotions

The probe into Jungle Rummy and similar betting apps has put a spotlight on celebrity endorsements and their ethical responsibilities. Several well-known names from the entertainment industry may be called in for questioning in the coming days as the ED expands its investigation into the financial and promotional links between Indian celebrities and foreign betting firms.
