Military Action Against Foreign Countries? Other Sensational Decision By Trump

Washington/Internet/Hyderabad, Aug 9 (Maxim News): US President Donald Trump is moving towards another sensational decision. he is planning to take military action in Latin American countries.  he has already identified drug cartels as terrorist organisations and is reportedly taking this decision as part of his plan to crack down on them.

As soon as he entered the White House presidency in January, he signed an executive order designating several cartels in Latin America as a national security threat.  “There are many cartels in Latin America.  Drugs are flowing through them. We must protect our country from them.”  he commented on that occasion.  

leading American media outlets are reporting that military action may be taken to target such cartels. In February 2025, the United States designated eight drug cartels in Mexico and Venezuela as international terrorist organizations.  These included Mexico’s Sinaloa and Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua.  The United States later added another Venezuelan cartel, the Suns.  The United States says that tons of drugs have been smuggled into the United States from this cartel for the past 20 years. The United States also accused Venezuelanpresident Nicolas Maduro of running the cartel, a charge he has denied.

According to the New York Times, Trump has ordered the Pentagon to prepare for military action with special forces and intelligence support, and to move forward with international allies if necessary.  The Wall Street Journal also published the same story.

However,  the White House has not confirmed this. But White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly said that Trump’s top priority is to protect America.  he has already declared several cartels as terrorist organizations. He should be recognized for making bold decisions in this process.

Will we be silent if one country’s army is deployed in another country? Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum has responded to the latest US military action reports.  “Both countries (US and Mexico) are working together to combat drugs. We are already cooperating with that country. So why the military action?  This is not a welcome decision.  Under no circumstances will we allow the US army to enter our country,” she said.  Mexico’s Foreign Ministry also condemned the reports of US military intervention and made it clear that such actions will not be allowed.  (Maxim News)
