According to the application, the journalist was allegedly pushed towards a gate inside the Supreme Court premises, causing her to lose her balance and fall. The plea claimed the incident occurred in a crowded area in the presence of security personnel, journalists and other people.

The application seeks directions for the immediate registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against Gandhi and others allegedly involved. It also seeks compensation for the journalist.

The alleged incident took place on October 12, when Gandhi and several Opposition leaders, accompanied by supporters, reached the Supreme Court to file a plea concerning alleged voter deletions and irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
