Attacks on Religious Sites and Properties

The forum condemned the large-scale vandalism at a 17th-century historical monument in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, where more than 2,000 saffron activists stormed the inner premises of a tomb and an adjoining Eidgah. Despite heavy police presence, miscreants climbed the dome using ladders and hoisted saffron flags, damaging the structure.

Similar incidents were reported in Nainital, Uttarakhand, where several shrines, mosques, and monasteries were demolished under official patronage. The statement also mentioned targeted harassment of Bengali-origin Muslims in Delhi, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, where they were labeled as non-citizens despite valid documents.

In Assam, hundreds of Muslim homes were demolished, properties seized, and residents declared “illegal Bangladeshis” before being pushed across borders. The forum also alleged a double standard in law enforcement, pointing out that lakhs of Muslim names are being removed from voters’ lists in Bihar under SIR (Special Intensive Revision).
