Hyderabad, Aug 17 (Maxim News): The Civil Supplies Department is preparing to supply rice through public distribution centers (ration shops) as usual from September 1, following the central government’s orders.
The ration shops were closed in July and August after a three months quota of rice was distributed at one in June. The government has clarified that the monthly distribution of fine rice will resume from September. To this end, the Civil supplies Corporation is monitoring the necessary arrangements to send the September quota of fine rice from the state level godowns (Stage-1) to the mandal Level Stock (MLS) points.
It is reported that the process will start from Monday, Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy has already issued orders to the authorities to distribute rice to all those who have newly received ration cards in the month of September.
