Four Including Two Women Killed As Private Bus Rams Stationary Truck In Mahabubnagar

Mahabubnagar/Hyderabad, Sept 1 (Maxim News) Four persons, including two women, died on the spot and five others suffered grievous injuries, when a private travels bus hit a stationary truck from behind at Katavaram village, Addakal on the Bengaluru National Highway in the wee hours of Monday.

The victims have been identified as bus cleaner Hasan (35), Ashrafunnisa (70), Yellamma (40) and another person, all of whom died on the spot.

A resident of Kamalapuram, Produttur, Yellamma lost her husband last year and her son Santosh was pursuing education and staying in a hostel. With her death, Santosh lost both his parents.

The incident occurred at around 2 am when the private travel bus was heading to Proddatur from Hyderabad. Soon after learning about the incident, Jadcherla police reached the spot and shifted the injured to Government General Hospital, Mahabubnagar.
