CM Sounds High Alert

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed all departments to stay on high alert and ensure swift relief operations. The Police, HYDRAA and Traffic Department were asked to deploy teams in waterlogged areas, while GHMC and the Energy Department were instructed to restore normalcy in affected neighborhoods. The CM also appealed to residents of low-lying areas to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for multiple Telangana districts, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in the coming days. Hyderabad is expected to see moderate showers with gusty winds of up to 40 kmph, with thunderstorms forecast for Thursday and Friday.

Officials have urged commuters to avoid vulnerable stretches, particularly in the IT corridor and Kukatpally–Miyapur belt, where waterlogging has already disrupted movement.
