Floods In Hussain Sagar: People Are Advised To Be Vigilant
Hyderabad, Sept 23 (Maxim News): In the wake of heavy rains in the city, a huge flood water is entering the Hussain Sagar reservoir. Officials said that the flood is flowing into Hussain Sagar at a dangerous level.
It was stated that the flood is entering Hussain Sagar heavily through the drains. It was said that the full tank level of Hussain Sagar is 513.41 meters and the current water level is 513.63 meters.
It was explained that the inflow is 1530 cusecs and the outflow is 1525 cusecs. Officials revealed that the flood water is continuing to rise heavily into Hussain Sagar from the Kukatpally, Banjara, Picket and Bulkapur drains.
Officials said that heavy flood water is reaching Hussain Sagar from many parts of the city. In this context, it is said that flood water is being released into Musi through tumulus.
GHMC has issued warnings to the people of the areas downstream of Hussain Sagar to be vigilant. Flooding continues at the Musi project in Nalgonda downstream. Meanwhile, officials are lifting the gates and releasing water downstream. (Maxim News)
