Kodangal Dargah | Hyderabad, Oct 4 (Maxim News): Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) Vice Chairman Faheem Qureshi stated that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has assured the reconstruction of the demolished structures at Kodangal Dargah.
According to Qureshi, the Chief Minister personally visited the demolished site of the dargah, interacted with the local Muslim community, and also joined them for lunch as part of the Dasara celebrations.
He said this gesture reflected the government’s commitment to protect minority rights and ensure welfare for Muslims in Telangana.
Faheem Qureshi Praises CM’s Efforts for Muslims
Faheem Qureshi appreciated CM Revanth Reddy for safeguarding the rights of minorities and extending political representation.
He highlighted that under the present Congress government, one MLC seat was allocated to Muslim, with Amer Ali Khan being nominated.
He criticized the previous BRS government led by former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, alleging that K.T. Rama Rao and MLC Dosaju Sravan approached the Supreme Court with costly advocates to secure a verdict against Amer Ali Khan.
Qureshi alleged that Dosaju Sravan, who had earlier been with the BJP and is now in BRS, has consistently taken positions against Muslims.
Responding to a question on the boy’s death in TMREIS, he said that the government will provide suitable compensation to the family.
Call to Promote Islamic Literature and Book Fairs
Faheem Qureshi also visited the HUDA Islamic Book Fair at Chatta Bazar, which began on October 1 and will conclude on October 5. He praised the organizers for showcasing a wide range of Islamic literature, including translations of the Holy Quran and works by several renowned writers.
Faheem Qureshi noted that such collections were especially useful for the youth and shared that even his own daughters were reading from the fair’s collection.
Qureshi urged young people to visit the fair before its conclusion and benefit from the resources. Qureshi further appealed to the organizers to hold similar book fairs across districts in Telangana.
Faheem Qureshi assured them that support would be extended from the Minorities Welfare Department to promote such initiatives.
