Rajanna siricilla/Hyderabad, Oct 12 (Maxim News): The Vemulawada Rajanna temple expansion controversy has taken a political turn between Congress and BJP. Union Minister Bandi Sanjay is furious with the temple EO after the announcement that Vemulawada Temple will stop offering Rajanna darshans from today.
On the other hand, BJP workers in Vemulawada burnt the government effigy to protest the transfer of the temple’s services to the Bhimanna temple. With this, the situation became tense.
Temple officials said that darshans will be temporarily suspended from today at the Vemulawada Rajarajeshwara Swamy Temple. Officials said that darshans are being suspended in the context of the expansion and development work of the temple. They said that special arrangements have been made at the Bhimeswara Swamy Temple for the darshans of devotees.
They clarified that special arrangements have been made at the Bheemeshwara Sannidhi to pay all types of Arjitha Sevas, Kode Mokku, Abhishekam, Anna Puja, Nithya Kalyanam, Chandi Homam and other offerings to the Lord. It was revealed that only solitary services will be conducted at the Sri Rajarajeswara Temple. Officials have asked all devotees to cooperate in this as part of the development of the temple. However, it seems that the suspension of darshans is likely to continue for a few months as part of the expansion of the Rajanna Temple.
In this context, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay responded to the suspension of darshan. Sanjay expressed his impatience over the suspension of devotees’ darshan. He objected to the fact that devotees coming for Rajanna’s darshan were being asked to go to Bhimanna temple. He was angry that devotees were being inconvenienced by not announcing it in advance. In this context, it seems that Bandi Sanjay called the temple authorities and the authorities allowed darshan again. With this, there is uncertainty over the movement of acquired services.
On the other hand, BJP cadres were outraged over the announcement that the Vemulawada Rajanna temple was being hastily shifted to the Bhimanna temple as part of the expansion. Protesting the shifting of the temple’s services to the Bhimanna temple, BJP cadres in Vemulawada burnt an effigy of the government, With this, the police stopped them. (Maxim News)
