HYDRA Protect Govt Land Allotted To Journalists In Pet Basheerabad
Hyderabad, Oct 22 (Maxim News): HYDRA Protects Government Land Allocated to Journalists in Pet Basheerabad, by Fencing around 38 acres today, to Protect from Encroachments. HYDRA has protected the government land allocated for Journalists, in Petbasheerabad, Hyderabad , Quthbullapur Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri district. On Wednesday, fencing was erected around 38 acres of land (Survey No. 25/2).
Previously, in 2008, the state government had allocated this land to the Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists Mutually Aided Cooperative Housing Society (JNJMACHS). Although the land was earmarked for journalists and kept under HMDA custody, plot distribution could not take place due to some legal disputes in court. Meanwhile, encroachments were reported on the land, and JNMACHS representatives lodged complaints with HYDRA. Revenue and HMDA Govt officials also approached HYDRA regarding the issue. Following the directions of Commissioner HYDRA A.V Ranganath, field-level inspections were conducted in coordination with Revenue, Municipal, and HMDA authorities. The inspections confirmed that encroachments had occurred, and while some houses had already been constructed, fencing was erected around the remaining vacant land to prevent further encroachment. Although some objections were raised, HYDRA clarified that allocations will proceed according to the court order and that the government land is being protected from encroachments in the meantime. HYDRA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath also stated that a meeting will be held soon with residents who have built houses, during which all records will be thoroughly reviewed. The meeting will include HYDRA, Revenue, HMDA, and Municipal officials. (Maxim News)
