Tulsi Raj Gokul appointed Legislature Standing Counsel

Hyderabad, Oct 25 (Maxim News): High Court advocate Tulsi Raj Gokul has been appointed as the Legislature Standing Counsel for Telangana.

He assumed charge of his new role on Saturday and met with Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy, and Legislative Secretary Narasimha Charyulu.

All three senior officials congratulated Gokul on his appointment and welcomed him to the role.

The Speaker and Chairman expressed confidence that Gokul’s experience and legal advice will be beneficial for the legislative and administrative affairs of the state.

They noted his long-standing practice and reputation in the legal field. Gokul, in turn, extended his thanks for their support and said he looks forward to contributing to the legislative process with diligence and integrity.

Hailing from Vikarabad district headquarters, Tulsi Raj Gokul is a graduate of Nizam College and completed his law degree from Padala Rami Reddy Law College.

He has been practicing as an advocate in the High Courts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the past 30 years. His career has been marked by deep engagement with constitutional and legislative matters, earning him a reputation as an expert in these domains.

His appointment comes at a time when the legislature is handling several key legal and procedural matters.

As Standing Counsel, Gokul will be responsible for advising the legislature on a range of issues, representing it in legal proceedings, and helping to draft and vet legislation.

His extensive experience is expected to provide valuable guidance on complex constitutional questions and ensure that legislative actions align with legal and procedural requirements.
