Cyclone Montha | Flights From Shamshabad To AP Canceled!

Hyderabad, Oct 28 (Maxim News): Cyclone Montha in the Bay of Bengal has affected flight services. Due to the effect of Cyclone Montha, 18 flights from Shamshabad to Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Rajahmundry have been cancelled. Similarly, flights from Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Rajahmundry to Shamshabad Airport have also been cancelled. Air India Express and IndiGo airlines have announced that they have cancelled flight services as a precautionary measure due to the unfavorable weather conditions due to Cyclone Montha.

Keeping this in mind, passengers have been advised to look for alternative routes. Cyclone Montha has affected train services. The Railways has already cancelled several services due to Cyclone Montha, Especially, several trains running on Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry and Vijayawada routes have been cancelled. Due to this, passengers are facing severe difficulties.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the cyclonic storm Montha, which formed in the bay of bengal, has now entered the west-central bay of bengal.  It has been revealed that Montha will intensify into a severe cyclone storm and approach the AP Coast in a few hours.  Montha, which is currently centered 230 km from machilipatnam, 310 km from kakinada and 370 km from Visakhapatnam, is expected to cross the coast near Kakinada between machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam on tuesday (October 28) night or Wednesday morning.  (Maxim News)
