Hyderabad, opct 28 (Maxim News): The state government has taken the Musi River Development Project very seriously. As part of this, the government has taken a key decision regarding the development of Musi. Orders have been issued allocating 734.07 acres of land to MRTCL. Lands previously allocated to several public sector undertakings have now been handed over to Musi Corporation. Lands in Himayatsagar, Budvel, Rajendranagar and Shamshabad areas have been transferred to Musi. In addition to the lands allocated to institutions like TEERL, IIPH and Valantari, the land allocated for the HMDA layout in Kothwalguda, Shamshabad mandal has also been transferred for the Musi project.
It has also completed a loan agreement of Rs. 4,100 crore with ADB. It is known that the Center has given in-principle approval for the Musi project. The Telangana government is preparing a master plan for the development of Musi. It is reported that it is planning to send the DPR to the Center in November.
The government has started working on alternative land allocations in Future City for the companies that have lost their lands. Meanwhile, it is known that the government has previously released huge funds for the cleaning of the Musi River. The Finance Department has issued orders allocating funds of about Rs. 375 crore. In addition to removing unauthorized structures in the river basin areas, work is already underway to clean the garbage accumulated in the river. While the Musi revival is to be done for a distance of 55 km, it has been decided to develop a total of 110 km on both sides. As part of this project, the government has decided to arrange roads, cycle tracks, walking paths, parks and green spaces on both sides of the river. (Maxim News)
