Hyderabad: Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Advisor to Telangana Government for SC, ST, OBC, and Minorities, assured financial and social support to the family of Late Shaik Riyaz, who was killed in a police encounter on October 20 in Nizamabad district. A delegation led by Hafiz Mohammed Layeeq Khan submitted a memorandum requesting humanitarian assistance for Riyaz’s family, highlighting their severe financial distress and lack of stable residence and income.
Shabbir Ali committed to sanctioning a 2BHK house for Riyaz’s wife in Nizamabad under an applicable government housing scheme. He said that the approval and process would be completed after consultations with the Incharge Minister D. Seethakka. This effort aims to provide the family with permanent shelter and stability.
Furthermore, Shabbir Ali promised to personally cover the educational expenses of Riyaz’s two minor children, who are attending Class 2 and Class 3, until they complete Class 5. He added that both children would later be admitted to a TMREIS residential school to ensure quality education. Additionally, he assured job assistance for Riyaz’s wife through outsourcing in TMREIS or another suitable institution, again subject to discussions with the relevant authorities.
The family of Shaik Riyaz, including his aged mother Zareena Begum, wife Sanober Nazmeen, and two children Ruheena Sultana and Shaik Rehan, has no source of income and is undergoing financial hardship. Shabbir Ali emphasized the need for immediate humanitarian intervention to secure their livelihood and future. This compassionate approach reflects the government’s recognition of the family’s dire circumstances and the commitment to support victims’ families through social welfare measures.
This announcement brings relief to the grieving family, affirming that the government is actively addressing their hardships in the aftermath of the tragic encounter incident in Nizamabad district.
