Saudi Bus Accident: Arrangements Reviewed; Jannat-Ul-Baqi Burial Aimed For Friday

Hyderabad, Nov 20 (Maxim News):  Acting on the instructions of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, a delegation from the Government of Telangana met senior representatives of the Government of India and the Indian mission to review all ongoing arrangements.

The Telangana team comprised Minister for Minorities Welfare Mohammed Azharuddin, AIMIM Nampally MLA Md Majid Hussain, and Secretary B. Shafiullah.

The Government of India side was led by Syed Abdul Nazeer, Governor of Andhra Pradesh, and Arun Kumar Chatterjee, Secretary (CPV & OIA), Ministry of External Affairs, with Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan also present.

The meeting noted cooperation between authorities and focused on expediting formalities. Efforts are underway to complete the required procedures for the last rites.

The plan, subject to completion of formalities, is to perform the funeral tomorrow, Friday. The intended burial site is Jannat-ul-Baqi in Madina Shareef. The delegation stated this schedule with the caveat that it depends on the timely conclusion of necessary steps.

Meanwhile, the Telangana delegation expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The note thanked the Government of Saudi Arabia and all officials for their cooperation and support. The tone underscored inter-governmental coordination and a shared goal of dignified last rites.

Therefore, the core update is two-fold. First, senior Telangana leaders and officials met with central authorities and the Indian Ambassador to review arrangements.

Second, the teams are working to complete formalities so the last rites can be held on Friday at Jannat-ul-Baqi, subject to procedures being finalized. The message closed with appreciation for Saudi authorities and officials who are facilitating the process. (Maxim News)
